I am very excited today!
Background: The shopping cart software we use for The American Central Store is built by and hosted by 3dcart.com. I shopped around a LOT when starting this company to find a shopping cart hosting company:
- Based in America
- American-owned
- That does not outsource their sales, software development or technical support
I found all of that with 3dcart. They are located in the tippy-end of Florida not far from Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
On
our site, when you Add an item to your Cart, you will see a total
amount of the cost of the item with a link to be able to Calculate the
Shipping Costs (based on your zip-code). The original layout of the
Shopping Cart featured the Shipping Calculator but it was on the bottom
of the Order Summary section. I thought it might be better to have it
located above the Summary so that it was easier for customers to see.
They made that change for me today, and it looks great and is working
great! I contracted with their support department for the work, and
they did it on schedule and with good communication.
